Man cannot live by pork alone

Except for certain religious groups (who we love and respect but don’t fully understand) and vegetarians (whose sanctimony and self-righteousness are not the least bit annoying), everyone loves to eat pork. But like your stock portfolio, your palate needs to be diversified.

To that end, we will be serving more than two delicious whole hogs (whose names are Trixxxie and Destinii by the way). The menu will include:

  • Roast chicken
  • Texas hot links
  • Coleslaw
  • Kale salad
  • Rolls

We will also be serving beer (thank you Peter’s Bar & Grill for the keg donation), soft drinks and water. Feel free to bring wine or hard alcohol to share or to drink alone in a quiet corner.

What should you bring?

Several folks have offered to bring a dish to the pig roast. While we appreciate the generous offers, this isn’t a potluck. This is a party by the hosts for our friends. Besides, making potato salad for a 100 people is no easy task.

What you can bring is food for the Oregon Food Bank. There will be buckets set up to accept these donations.

We’re at it again

Helen, Steve, Kristine, Marc, Autumn, Andy, and Sweet Jimmy are putting on another pig roast. This time out, we want to share our bounty with those less fortunate. To that end, we encourage all guests to bring some non-perishable food items, which will be donated to the Oregon Food Bank.
